Carers allowance

Anyone applied for carers allowance recently? If so how long did it take to get decision? Been told 9 weeks wait.

Have you heard anything yet? I'm waiting too only been a week but also been told 9 weeks!

Thirteen weeks and counting for me 😭

Oh no!! 😩😩 I was getting carers then at dla renewal lost everything did an MR which took 20weeks and now have to wait for carers it's so unfair isn't it! I'm only on week 2 so guess I have a while to wait yet 😩😩 I hope you hear really soon.

Oh, we’re in quite similar positions! I did our forms slightly late for renewal of DLA and because it took so long for them to get to them the DLA and Carers stopped. Eventually got awarded but they changed it from high to middle care rate so we’re currently waiting for the MR as nothing has changed. Our last carers payment was February 😩 Thank you, I have heard people’s are going quicker so I’ll keep my fingers crossed you’re one of the lucky ones 🤞Let me know if you hear anything!
