Can anyone recommend a business bank account provider?

It's for a limited company, one company director only. Not too bothered about any fees, more efficiency and customer service - a bank which you can either phone or whatsapp with a native English speaker.

I use Tide, standard plan has no phone support but you can message in their app. You can upgrade for a tenner a month and get phone support.

You can pay in cash at the post office for £1 fee.

I use Monzo - if you’ve never had a Monzo account you can sign up here using my link. If you make sure you only open a business account and DONT open a personal one then we’ll both get £50 once you’ve spent £1 on your card. Like I say you can’t have ever had a Monzo account previously. Link is here if you’re interested. Let me know as I only have two spaces left. join.monzo.com/c/wnt6ztt

Or if you do go with Tide and use this referral code when opening your account then we both get £50 provided you spend £500 on your card within three months. Link is here Get £50 when you open a Tide account with us. Sign up here: www.tide.co/refer-a-friend/?referralName=Amanda_Fulton_Mcgill&referralCode=7WR2DO. T&Cs apply.

Code is 7WR2DO

I like Natwest

Id look for independent recommendations not people who want to earn £50, they won't necessarily give you genuine feedback

I don't have a business but my work banks with HSBC and I know they have UK call centres

I didn’t specifically recommend either one way or the other as I’ve never had to contact unless via chat and both Tide and Monzo have resolved any issues quickly via that manner. They are the two I currently use and so far I have no issues so it was just if the OP did end up going for either Tide or Monzo the referral links are there to make some free cash regardless.

I love NatWest. Really helpful on the phone and the free accounting software FreeAgent is great.
