Carers allowance

Anyone know how long new applications for carers allowance is taking pls? Anyone waiting atm?

I was awarded it last month - it took 9 weeks from them receiving the application form

I’m waiting - been 2 and half weeks

Have you had anything from carers yet?

A letter last week (so after 6 weeks) asking for some information.

i sent it back and heard nothing else yet

I waited 8 weeks it was a nightmare waiting because mine was closed due to the dla losing my child’s dla renewal application. Thankfully no renewal until pip change now. They backdate it

Applied on 12th August. Mysterious deposit from DWP this morning! No letter though.

No I called today and they just confirmed the information had been received on 10th sep and it was now with a decision maker. No mention of timescales :(

Just a quick update, I haven’t received any letters but I can see back pay in my bank today, so it’s been 9 weeks and 2 days

I applied on 31st July and still waiting.....:(

Waiting 12 weeks for decision, anyone knows how much longer

My son applied in December, had to wait for some paperwork to be completed. ....... still waiting 😞 he's rang and asked but they just keep saying its being processed

Is that really True
