Child benefit

Hello I’ve recently applied for child benefit online I called this morning to check they had received my application and was told my application was under manual review? And that I should hear something by the 11th October, has anybody else had anything similar being under manual review? Even though I know I'm entitled to this benefit still slightly alarmed at being under review?! Any advice is much appreciated thank you.

I’ve never heard of a child benefit application having gone under manual review, it’s a pretty straight forward one to check eligibility for. Unless the child does’t live with you full time, or has somebody else ready submitted a claim for Child Benefit for the same child without your knowledge?
