@Spongebobette I've done the same when I've seen MLM product in a salon. I'm either going to get the hard sell or they are going to start using products I want nothing to do with.
Whenever I see a legitimate business with MLM bolted on the side it's always a red flag to me. If they aren't aware of MLM and can't do the sums what sort of business are they running? Is the MLM a misguided attempt to rescue a business that isn't working?
If I see someone with what looks like a good career and an MLM side hustle I immediately assume there is something amiss. I don't think they must be a multi-tasking hard worker, I think their judgement is up for question and/or they are not competent at their real job or, if they have a downline, I assume they have a disregard for other people. This is probably unfair of me but MLM taints the CV IMHO.
I thought it was just me with my particular dislike of MLM but it seems to raise doubts for non Botwatchers too. I know of people who have been moved to the "no" pile for interview when an MLM side hustle has come to light. Not just because they have what looks like a distraction but because of the specific nature of the side hustle.
In other news, Yawn has missed out number 7 on her list of six good things about her off the lead dog lighting off after two deer. So I'm adding it.
- If your dog has poor recall when there are running deer it's a good job there was no livestock and no farmer with a shotgun.
