No claims discount issue

Hi, I've been lurking for ages, and now I'm having a panic this seemed like the place to turn to for advice.
I recently took out car insurance and I said I had 13 years no claims as that's how long since I've claimed and now the new insurance company have asked for the proof. (I've never had this before!) My old policy letter just says '9 or more'. Will this be accepted do you think or will they cancel my policy?
It's stressing me out!

That should fine. I've only ever had '9 years or more' on mine and I've been claim free for 30 years!

Thank you so much! I've never had this issue before as I just stayed with the previous insurer. Then I went without a car for a little while so had to start again ( within the 2 years that the no claims would expire anyway) and made a mistake with my date of passing test too which I had to contact them to alter! They've probably got me flagged as an idiot.

I had this before, apparently it's fine as the max discount is 9 years anyway

Ah thanks, this is reassuring! I'm prone to think of the worst case scenario, so I do freak out a bit at things like this. Why do they even offer the option to click anything beyond 9, or offer 9+ ? Ironically I didn't just put 9 because that would be a lie! Ugh.
