Moving to UC by 4th August need help please

Hi

I have to move to UC by 4 August .the problem I have one payment coming out from tax credit end of Aug am I going to be paid that or will I be back date from UC ?

I appreciate your advices in advance .

I think tax credits will stop as soon as the UC claim is made, and then it'll take 5 weeks to receive a payment from them.

Yes, it stops as soon as a claim is made so you then have five weeks without any income from them.

Time making the claim at a part of the month where your wages won’t have a risk of being paid early and impacting the claim. I get paid on 31st usually but this can jump a week early at Xmas (for example) so I applied for UC on 10th of month and it goes in just before my rent is due.
