Hi,

I absolutely love to get a good deal. Whether it's buying a new holiday or electrical appliance, getting the best saving or mortgage rates, or even just changing suppliers for my household bills - I get a sense of achievement in knowing I have got a great deal.

Don't get me wrong, I appreciate the value of quality too, it's all about getting me the best price for the product or service I would like.

I assume there are some people out there that would like to save money but either are rubbish at getting a good deal or can't be bothered to do so.

I having been thinking about setting up some kind of business to help people save money. I know some people are savvy like me, but for others it would save them time and money scouring the market and trying to get a good deal.

I just wondered what people thought of this idea?

Thanks in advance for your views.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply.

Those are some of the tools that could be used to get a good deal.

I'm thinking more of a personalised service for example someone comes to me and says I want this specific product what is the cheapest you can get it for...or I want to book a specific holiday / cruise what is the best price you can find.

Thanks

I had an acquaintance who did this very successfully for businesses. He worked for a cut of the amount he saved them and concentrated on utilities etc. but this was a long time ago when the internet was less ubiquitous.
