Recommended SIPP provider

Is anybody able to recommend a SiPP provider? Will be investing around £1200 a month. I don’t mind a little bit of work in terms of looking at the portfolio, but I’m not super knowledgable about investments really. Looking at relatively low fees and easy user experience. Thanks!!!

Royal London

Royal London aren’t a SIPP provider. They’re a pension fund/investment house.

Most of these are ‘platform’ SIPPs with their own investments ‘built’ in and some are no longer offering the traditional ‘self invested’ assets such as commercial property.
Probably ok for what you need, don’t allow investment in anything too ‘racy’ which has resulted in some SIPP providers failing. Really just a ‘personal pension’ but with a few more investment options ( and higher fees).
If you are looking for an ‘empty wrapper’ type SIPP to hold your investments look at something like XPS SIPP, they do a simple cheap product with limits the number of investments you can hold and charges less as a result.

Most SIPP’s will allow you to join as an Execution only member ( with no financial advisor of your own) but they are not permitted to advise you in your investments as they don’t have the FCA permissions to do so. I would always recommend using the services of an FCA authorised and regulated financial advisor , check the FCA register to make sure they are legit. Unbiased will point you to advisers , or ask family and friends. Biggest not always best , some charge very high fees for not much service and this has been in the headlines a lot lately.
ask yourself do you really need the bells and whistles of a SIPP though or would a bog standard cheaper personal pension meet your needs.
