Dear All, Having such trouble contacting CMS as online doesn’t cover what I need to contact them about. There’s no chat it anymore and I’ve been calling 3 or 4 times per month but I hold for ages then line goes dead. As a mum I’m feeling so let down by them.
Does anyone have any ideas?
my issue is my ex husband is being paid a salary into an offshore account so he has got away without paying a penny for almost a year and my son and I struggle. I realised one day that “income” isn’t just salary but can also be interest earned from savings of which he has a lot so I made a new application and within 7 days I received the news that he was no longer in the nil rate band! Yay! So, he has started paying again but my point now is that these savings have been there since he stopped paying a year ago when he changed jobs and engineered his salary to go under the radar. I’m wondering now if because he was always earning this interest income tgat he should never have been allowed to stop payments and that in theory he could owe me 12 months of unpaid maintenance backdated? Any insights out there into how I find this out or how I contact CMS other than by carrier pigeon or post!
