CB and UC now child lives me not ex: she wouldn't cooperate

My partner has asked me to ask.

My ex partner has pissed our daughter off and she is now living with me, I am trying to sort out everything.
She currently claims Child benefit for her and Universal credit. I have just submitted a form
To child benefit to get it paid to me and also added her onto my UC claim. How long will this take. If she also refuses to cooperate what would my next steps be?

If parents cannot agree over who has care of a child then an HMRC and/or DWP decision maker will decide who gets CB/UC.

You need to gather evidence to provide to hmrc in case ex denies child now lives with you. For example, any letters with dd name addressed to yours, her main address with school, her dentist/doctors main address etc. If DD old enough and willing, a letter herself saying she lives with you would be good

How long has your dc been living with you?

Make sure school have your address and that your daughter is registered at yours for doctor / dentist etc.
