New style JSA help

Hi guys. Hoping you can help.

I left my job in mid April, and then signed onto JSA no issues and got a payment for April to mid May, which was backdated, literally 2 days after my JSA interview with my work coach I was offered a job, I told my work coach, they closed my claim and I've since done 2 days at my new job. However, it's not the environment I want to work in, it's full of sleazy men who have made comments about me in their language and the girls on reception just ignored me when I said hello and bye each time. The girl that trained me was lovely but even she admitted the culture and environment was horrible. I handed my resignation in after 2 shifts due to this.

My question now is am I able to reapply for new style JSA whilst I look for another job? Or am I not able to claim it as I've already had a claim opened and then closed within a matter of days due to me finding that job?

Thanks

If you have lost your job and are unemployed again in fewer than 182 days you should be able to use a 'rapid reclaim' process with less hoop jumping than with a new application. Contact the Job Centre and ask about rapid reclaim.

You will though need to demonstrate that you had a good reason for leaving employment. Emphasise the treatment by male colleagues, the poisonous atmosphere and, in particular, that you did not feel safe.
