Child benefit

Hi!
I've just applied for child benefit for my little girl. I did it online through gateway, I know it can take a while to get the money but I'm just wondering how long it takes for them to send you the letter/ message that you've been approved?

I didn’t get a letter, had to phone them to check.

Child Benefit takes about 12 weeks to process.

I applied online less than 2 weeks ago, received the letter confirmation yesterday and the payment this week Smile

My niece was born in January. I helped my SIL with the application probably start of Feb and she told me she had the letter and first payment by the end of feb
