yeh i got housing benefit when my partner wasnt working. He wasnt on job seekers though. I still get a bit of housing benefit now and council tax (only a fiver a week) but thats with my partner being on a good wage. I just phoned my local council and asked about it and they told me what i'd be intitled to (approx) and sent me a form to send off.

most local councils have a website that works out what you could get, just put "housing benefit calculator" in google or similar and you will get loads of links, Its based on income, rather than emplyment status, so you could both be working an qualify if wages low and rent high.
