Carers allowance wait times

Has anyone applied for carers allowance recently and have an idea how long the wait time is?
I applied online 6 weeks ago & sent off my wage slips and P45 the same day.

Heya I wad wondering if you have heard back yet I've rang 3 times being in a financial difficulty everytime we will raise it nothing

@Kwood03 I was awarded Carers Allowance at the beginning of June... I applied on 27th March. I did get it backdated to the date I applied, but the time in-between was tough going - keeping my income under the threshold, but not having the equivalent of the Carers Allowance to cover the shortfall.
