Just logged into my doctors after I sent in info this month as after a weekend away had the most severe fibro flare since been diagnosed. My ankles and feet have swollen so much this weekend and I’m
Struggling with anxiety about refunding to work as been off since end of March until end of May currently. I have put in for LCWRA as don’t want to ask for reduced hours or give my job up yet until I know I won’t be sanctioned and will keep being signed off, but then feel bad for my co workers. As a single parent it’s only my wage. I am technically my sons carer so not sure if that grants any Lee way, anyways I noticed on the doctors system that it said universal credit form recieved and in the doctors tray to be filled. Is this usually a good sign that they are taking it seriously? What happens if they don’t fill it in ? Will it get rejected. Had my pip assessment the other day so waiting on that too

If you are earning more than 16 x nmw you aren't normally referred for a work capability assessment unless you have PIP in place.
They have likely contacted your GP as they don't have enough information to make a decision based on medical evidence that you sent in with the UC50 form. have you actually had the work capability assessment yet?
It's not a matter of them taking you seriously - they assess everyone and then decide what group you are put in.
If your GP doesn't fill the form in ( unlikely), they will still assess you but will just have less information to make a decision on.

My current contract is 21 hours a week. But as I work term time my pay is less each month to cover the holidays too. I have been signed off continuously since end of March and I believe I will be again until the summer holidays. So in that sense with sick notices I would like to think k they can see jr means work is a struggle. My doctor is really good so I am hoping he will. If he doesn't I will keep contesting it, I did explain on the form I can't work and will be looking to reduce my hours or quit my job just kinda wanted that stability first xx

As I understand it the OP works in a school but is currently signed off at least until the end of May. They think they will be given another sick note so that return to work is pushed back to September.

On that basis the Work Capability Assessment will have been triggered by the first fit note sent to UC.

If the GP's name was given on the UC 50 form as somebody who can provide information on the OP's health then I'd expect UC to send them a form. This will be part of the information sent to the DWP Healthcare Professional who will interview OP either F2F or by phone.
