Does anyone know whether an contract of employment needs to be in place for a person to be covered by the companies liability insurance?

Or can someone guide me in the right direction where to look to find this out.

Thank you!

Do you mean employers liability insurance?

yes I do mean that. I have read through the insurance policy but can see no reference to the employees needing to have a contract of employment to be covered.
