I'm quite worried how my NHS backpay with impact my Uc. I'm on UC for 4 months and I'm being paid money from 2023 like everyone else.

Anyone any info on how this impacts UC

Does it have to be a lump sum or can you opt for instalments?

They will take into account when it is paid not the dates it covers.

If it is a lump sum it will likely wipe out your entitlement for that month and then you get back to normal the month after. We had this as my husband got a back payment from his school and we didn't get any UC that month.

Will they stay pay towards my childcare

As an aside, what backpay is being paid now?

When we got the lump sum last year, I think most trusts were able to spread out payments for those who would have issues with UC / benefits of it was paid on one go. Can you ask about this?

If income after deductions (for work allowance and the 55 percent earnings taper) wipes out entitlement inc childcare, then no you wont get help that assessment period .
