Frikkin Nationwide, 20 mins on hold. .

Anyways I hope a M'netter can help me.

I opened a cash ISA last friday, I've had no paper work or anything through yet, it will take about a week. But I want to deposit more before Friday as from what I can gather this is the last working day before the next financial year and I dont want it to 'eat in' to next years allowance.

How do I deposit money, do I just go in and tell them I want to add it in and they do it?.

Also, when the next finacial year comes in next tuesday, can I add more money as this will use up some of next years new allowance or do I have to open another one?

As you can see I know nothing about ISA's, thanks

You'll need an account number before you can make further deposits.

I think your best bet is to go in in person and they can check on their system if the account has been opened and they can tell you the number. That way, even if they havent got round to posting the paperwork, you may still be able to put some money in it.

Thanks Hanaflower, so even though I have no paperwork with account number on etc, I can just walk in with my cash and say I want to deposit it, give them ny name, address etc, and they do this?, I want to do it before this finacial year runs out?

Sorry for the questions

Do you use Nationwide online, all your accounts should be visible there. I think you can deposit £3000 this year and £3600 for next year from 6.4.08.
