Can I return a top if it has a really annoying scratchy zip inside it which makes it horrid to wear?

I have worn it a couple of times, have no receipt and have obviously taken the tags off

I'm not sure. Where is it from? Is it fit for its purpose?

Maidamess · 29/03/2008 16:37

Yes, take it back and say the zip is faulty as it has sharp bits on it.

You could try, but they are under no obligation to refund. Explain the situation to them and see what they say.

They are only obliged to refund if the item is faulty or is not fit for purpose. I suppose you could argue that it isn't fit for purpose if you can't physically wear it, but they may not see it that way. Depends on the store.

H+M

yes I think I can argue not fit for purpose
it is a maternity top and you wouldn't normally wear anything under it, and it has a scratchy / sharp zip on the inside kind of where my waist would be if I had one
