Budget app recommendations

I’m looking for a really easy app I can use on an iPhone to help with budgeting.

I’m fortunate to earn enough to put some money aside each month in to savings and still have a good amount of “spare” money. However, I am not tracking this “spare” money and I’m stupidly spending it each month on silly little things that all add up.

I need to get a grip on things as there’s no reason that I should be using up all my money each month! I have a loan that I’m paying off and would like to be able to contribute more to this to get it paid off quicker. All household bills are really good and I’m going to pay my phone off and see when I can cancel my contract so I can a sim only monthly deal. That’s the only thing that needs cut, I just need more visibility of what I’m doing and the ability to track this “spare” money.

I have ADHD and it is not an excuse but I do struggle to mentally keep an eye on things and I will also forget to manually update something so I really need something that can link to my bank account and allow me to set limits/understand where my money is going.

I use YNAB (you need a budget). They give you a month trial, they run live Zoom tutorials several times a week and they do link with a lot of banks. I found it A LOT to get used to, but their customer service is very very good and they extended the trial to give me time to get the hang of it. Then I bought it month by month until I was sure, then I bought a whole year.

Definitely YNAB,
I check it every morning with a coffee in bed, I have lots of debt I'm paying off and im skint but i love using it as its so satisfying to be in control and slowly see my situation improve
It's so easy to use too
