UC and rent costs

Hi there. I need to put on our UC about a change in our rent costs. Aprils payment will be slightly less due to an overpayment from last year then the rest of this year will be the same payment which will be higher. Do I do a confirm housing costs and put the first months rent amount and then next month change it to the higher amount? I can’t seem to find an answer anywhere. Thanks

They'll want confirmation of the new rent as per any revision to your tenancy agreement. I don't think they'll be bothered about an overpayment from last year.

Have you tried logging onto your UC account? If it's the general April yearly rent increase you should have a notification automatically on your to do list to update.
