UC - money from ex

First time claiming UC.
We've separated and have two children together.

It's my first month on it and don't receive my statement until the weekend.
Ex has agreed to pay half the bills for next month and then going forward will be his CMS payment which we've agreed between ourselves.

Is this allowed?

Do I need to tell them about CMS payments?
Are they just told from HRMC what goes into my bank from work etc?

All very new to me!

You should tell them that you receive CM but it will not affect your payments in any way.
Your earnings are reported to DWP through HMRC so they automatically receive that information and calculate your Uc amount from that.
Not sure about the bills.
