Has anybody Invented anything!!!!!!!!!!

I have been in touch UK based company who deal with patening ideas, they have said I have a really good idea and as far as they can see it is unique to UK.

They need to check the rest of the World and to do this I would need to pay 600 pound.
Any experts out there, shall I pay it, Can I go to another company with my idea? (signed confidentially form).

Any help would be great.

Yes, I did, years ago. I went to a company and paid about £300 for a bound hardback report, and then they appeared on Watchdog the week after because there were so many complaints about them!

I realise this post will be less than helpful, because I can't for the life of me remember what they were called.

My advice would be to make sure that you use a reputable patent company, but I'm not sure how you'd check their credentials.

You need a firm who are members of the Chartered Institute of Patent Agents

I can recommend someone if you CAT me

My DH is a patent lawyer - he sees these companies all the time and says that they rip people off!!!

You should get free advice from a patent attorney - see Yellow pages or internet.
