Decline in AiP overturned

We had a soft check done for an agreement in principle by a building society which initially got declined by 'the computer', but an underwriter had a look at it and overturned it to a yes. Delighted with this news we've now made a full application which an underwriter is now reviewing (they've asked for additional documentation very quickly).

Would this be seen as a good sign in terms of progressing to full approval?

You have 100% more of a chance than you did when you DIP was declined.

It has been overturned by a human, good sign. They would nto have overturned it if they didnt think you would be accepted. But I guess it depends why it was rejected in the first place.

Good luck though!

Thanks @missmollygreen appreciate it. My partner and I had a couple of small defaults from 2-3 years ago which when viewed by the Underwriter were actually fine.

Mortgage company has had lots of documentation from us in recent days so not sure what else they would want to see before hopefully passing an approval?
