Salary sacrifice car

Hi, I work for the NHS and I’m considering a salary sacrifice car as we need a new one anyway. Has anyone used the scheme and found it good or bad?

It's an excellent way of reducing child maintenance payments as my exH found out.

Don’t forget you’ll put less in your pension if you have a salary sacrifice car

Really impacts your pension. Depends on how old you are as to how much.

Does anyone know how this scheme affects universal credit at all? TIA

I had a really bad experience. I use my car for work as I'm a community midwife. I had my car for around 12 months (it was a 3 year contract) and something went wrong with the car, it was a manufacturing fault. Car went back but fleetsolitions were unable to provide me with an alternative car and they were saying it's up to the garage the garage passing me to fleet solutions so basically I had no car for 7 months but payments still coming out of my wages. I'd never use them again.
