Relationship End, Recent Remortgage

My best friend has confided in me about her relationship and has told me that she wants out - they have just remortgaged their house for another two years, and she hasn't much savings as it all went into the house when it was bought.

What should she do? Would she be able to get equity out of the house if he stayed there? Will this be a slow process?

Did they buy the house together initially?

She can get the equity out if he buys her share off her by increasing the mortgage amount and paying her from that, but most likely they need to sell and split the equity

I think best she speaks with a broker. If recently remortgaged then to get out of that there will be an early repayment charge.
