And is it fixed of variable and how long for?

Thinking that we may be paying too much? We are on 5.8% fixed for 2 years recently with the hope we can pay early. I guess we are committed to that amount now a we fixed it.

We are on 4.07% new 5 year fix. Was massively overpaying therefore essentially paying the same interest but on half the original debt.
For ERC, I think it goes from 5-4-3-2-1% of the outstanding balance after each year on 5 year fix, at least with our lender

Charcol · 07/03/2024 17:47

4.1% since Nov 2023. 5 year fix.

Wolfpa · 07/03/2024 18:17

2.79% fixed for another 10 years it was initially fixed for 15 years. ERC works out to be about 10k.

WinterFaye2 · 07/03/2024 22:34

2.6% for 10 years ending 2032

Our initial product was supposed to end Aug 23 but we secured this mortgage offer 4/5 months before our last year on the past mortgage (2.4%)

we paid the 1% ERC once we had got into our final year and switched to this latest mortgage product.

We did the maths and it made financial sense to do it this way, we’ve already saved what we paid in ERC vs going to a variable rate/a higher rate post aug 23.

We have been very lucky and probably got one of the best deals possible, at the best time - fixed for 7 years in late 2021 for 1.5%

OneMoreTime23 · 07/03/2024 23:14

Zero.

£20k to go (house worth £450k+) and fully offset.

tryingforbaba · 08/03/2024 05:47

2.8. Fixed.

Wingingitbestican · 11/03/2024 01:10

Fixed for 5 years at 1.99% in June 2022 - I appreciate how lucky we got with the timing of it. We have been massively saving ever since then and should have the cash to clear the mortgage when the fix ends in June 2027.

decionsdecisions62 · 11/03/2024 02:13

1.99% until July then 4.9. We have 5 years left on it but just getting a fixed deal for 2 at the moment.
