Does anyone know if you cancel your tax credit claim due to a change in circumstances whether you get a letter to confirm it?

I just ended mine in January and I got a letter a few days later confirming they'd ended and also asking me to confirm my self employed earnings for this tax year to close the claim

I don't know about a letter but can you log in to the 'manage tax credits' where you may find the same information?

I ended mine second week of Feb but haven't heard anything or had a letter!

It may be because I'm self employed so income isn't automatically reported as PAYE may be, but I just dug my letters out, and I closed the claim 17/1 and had a letter dated 22/1 asking me to fill in the attached form with income no later than 21/2

Now I dont think I actually received the letter 22/1, I only filled in the form last week so it may well have not arrived for a couple of weeks, I honestly can't remember

Thank you. I know it's 100% stopped as I had a random payment of £17 on the usual payment date and nothing so hopefully that's just it now then 🤣 I'd just like to have a letter so I have it in writing haha

It's barely been 2 weeks I wouldn't be too concerned about not having a letter yet.

It no longer lets me into that bit and says if I need to manage my claim, I have to ring them but it's 100% closed

Ahh okay thank you. They may be slightly behind as it's coming up to renewal time so maybe that's why

Letters arrived today so I was just being impatient!
