Tax refund

Hello!

The online refund calculator suggests I am due an income tax refund of circa £400. It also says, when I try and fail to live chat, that this should be adjusted via my salary.

Has anyone had a refund this way recently (it was cheques the last time I was refunded!).

Also I have 2 jobs so will I be refunded from my main job or second?

Thanks

In year refunds are typically done via adjusting your tax code. I have had rebate via PAYE, tax code changed to a cumulative code and the payroll processes such that a rebate is provided. It could be via any employment, but I would anticipate that it would be via the one that pays the most.

Come end of tax year (5th April) if you have over paid Income Tax, then when HMRC reconciles in Oct/Nov you get a P800 notification so can reclaim via that.
