Universal credit- submitted the wrong savings figure in error

I'm currently on the unpaid part of mat leave, with rapidly dwindling savings, thanks for a leaky roof and a new boiler required in the next month, along with a lot of car repairs (it doesn't rain, it pours, about £7ks worth of pouring!). We were meant to be paid UC Tomorrow but the statement didn't appear so my partner contacted them and they said we need to verify our capital. It felt odd so I checked what he submitted and I've sent him the wrong figure, I'd typed £6300 instead of £7,300. I've submitted a change in my journal but now I'm panicking we won't get anything due to my error. Has anyone else made a similar (and incredibly stupid/ frustrating) mistake?

When I got paid twice in one assessment period (thanks to Christmas). I had to wait for the pay date to pass then raise my request that I needed the second payment to be used for the next assessment period. It took them about a week to rectify the problem. I find the journal response is pretty prompt

As its over 6k you would have had to verify the capital. They usually contain you to book an appointment to do that. Have you reported a change of circumstances with the correct figure with the date you opened claim?

Sorry I should have said it's my 3rd month claiming so each month we update the figure as my savings dwindle, I just sent my partner the wrong figure which he input. I've submitted a change in circumstance for the same date, I'm just annoyed at myself for it and worried we won't get paid

Your statement and what payment will be made is generated as soon as the capital is verified. Just will arrive later than normal.

Fatfumbs · 21/02/2024 22:59

No I'm not (from what I can tell). We claimed for the first time 3 months ago due to low (no) income on my side due to mat leave being so low.
