Support for Mortgage Interest Loan - thoughts please?

Hello

My mortgage is in arrears since my husband and me separated and I'm on a payment plan with the lender.

I'm on UC and wondering whether it's a good idea to apply for a SMI loan.

What's everyone's experience on this please? What would happen if I couldn't continue to pay the mortgage and I have to sell the house?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thank you

You have to have been on UC for 26 weeks I believe to be legible. And it is a loan so needs to be repaid at some point. If it gets you by for a short period of time I'd say go for it but if it is a long term plan I would suggest it isn't sustainable.

Just be aware you need to pay it all back
