Universal credit

I claim universal credit to top up my part time wage. I don't have any work commitments due to my DD getting disabitly payments. Also have DH at home he works too.

I was looking into doing part time studying or online open type thing which will hopefully lead to better employment. I can't get a clear answer to weather I'd still be able to claim or not?

Anyone know the answer?

You can still claim but you are expected to take any student maintenance loans available to you. There may not be any to take if it's an open University course. Student maintenance loan would reduce your UC.

I’m doing a part time college course alongside working and there is no impact to my UC. 🙂

I messaged on my journal before i started asking if there was anything i needed to do but there was no reply.
