Think I've made a stupid mistake!

I am embarrassed to even admit this. I tried to buy some lego on Facebook, found a seller who would post. I sent him £14 to his personal account. He said pay the rest when it arrives. It has not arrived. He hasn't provided proof of postage but keeps saying he will. I know I've been scammed and he obviously didn't send it and it was stupid to do it. Is there any way to report? I know his name, bank account and Facebook profile.

Not really. Just be grateful it wasn't more and don't ever send anyone money again unless it's via PayPal and not friends or family.

You can report it via your bank as an APP scam, they will ask for the money back and if the seller can’t provide proof and refuses to give it back their account will get frozen while an investigation is done.

£14? I’d write that off tbh.

do you have online banking or an app. Go to your app and mark the bank transfer as a scam/ suspicious.

the bank will refund you immmediately whilst they investigate. If the seller cant prove they are legit then you keep your refund.
