Migrating to universal credit

I've just started the migration application to universal credit from child tax credit. I'm just so anxious about it, that we won't now get what we have been getting. It's only £100 or so a month but it really helps. The last couple of years we have found things so much tougher with the cost of living going up, theres hardly any spare money at all. Increasing my hours isn't an option for at least another couple of years until both my kids are at secondary school. I keep trying to rack my brains for other ways to make money on the side but realistically there's no time for that anyway without me having a mental breakdown! We do each have some savings (inheritance actually), a few grand each which I see as emergency money ((or if I ever get the chance to add to it, may one day help my kids). So I really don't know if we'll be entitled to get universal credit.
Just interested in how others have found the migration and whether you've been worse off financially for it?

As you are being migrated over you won't be worse off as if the amount of Uc you would receive is lower you would get topped up with the transitional protection amount so can't be worse off. many people find they are better off on Uc especially if they rent and weren't previously receiving any housing benefit. The problem you could have in the future is needing to look for more hours but if your dh works full time you would likely be fine for now.

Yes as they base the col payment on your November to December tax credits
