NZ superannuation & UK civil service pension

I’m a Brit living in NZ. I understand that if I claim superannuation here, any U.K. state pension I could claim would be offset.

However I will be eligible for a civil service pension (only very small) aged 68. Does that count? The wording of the relevant Act talks about a government issued pension being offset and uses the U.K. state pension as an eg. But my civil service pension is effectively a private pension isn’t it? Does that get offset?

I think you need to ask in a Kiwi forum where hopefully somebody will have the specifics but I agree that an occupational pension from working for HMG isn't a government benefit like the State Pension and its extensions like SERPS.
