Universal Credit noob question

AppleBlossomTimeNow · 25/01/2024 11:45

I have recently been migrated to UC from tax credits. I work 30 hrs pw but also do the odd extra shift. Do I need to declare this additional ad hoc income every month on my UC dashboard or does my employer?

The dwp will receive this information each month directly from HMRC

as pp states, the HMRC works in real time so they should be aware - but you should also make them aware UC that ism if and when you do extra shifts. its your responsibility and prevents overpayment - things can go wrong with real time and you don't want to end up with an overpayment
