It will depend on how much his income is. If it's done through the CSA it's 15% of his income for one child, but not sure about 2 so will bump this for you as someone else is bound to know.

Tell her to check the CSA calculator. That should give her a reasonable start....

The CSA is based on around 20-25% for the kids.... but I don't think that includes maintenence for the wife and certainly doesn't include a lump sum.

It might be worth her looking at the calculator on the CSA website if she knows his salary. It would tell her whether what he is giving her is reasonable or not.
