Child benefit second child query

I have 2 children and the eldest is soon not eligible for child benefit. Will the second child remain getting the lower payments until it stops for them? I ask as the calculators for the high income charge when I put in 1 child calculate as if they are the eldest getting full amount; but they are getting the "second child" amount.

Your question isn’t quite clear.. when your first child drops off your second child then becomes your first and get the first child rate
