Care home fees and a family home

House is in OP name (married for 15yrs) only.
What would happen if OP ended up in care home and the fees had to be covered (I assume by putting all the charges onto the house deeds) ?
Where does it leave the other spouse in terms of housing ?
Is the house 50/50 , does it have to be documented?

Thank you

I’d like to know the answer to this as well…

I don't believe it had to be documented

Age Uk have information sheets that might help

If a spouse is living in the property it would be disregarded from any financial assessment.
