High interest current account

Overloadimplode · 04/01/2024 21:23

I would like to put a little bit of money into a higher rate savings account, but one without many restrictions, so I can access it without worry.
Any ideas? I want a simple life but to save a little where I can.
Thank you

Cahoot are doing some good savings accounts at the moment.

Monzo savings account is worth looking at.

Kroo is an excellent current account, paying 4.35% interest. Metro bank instant access account pays 5.22%.

Just download the Money Saving Expert app and then search for instant access savings accounts.
It is constantly updated and has all the links through to the providers

CuriousGeorge80 · 05/01/2024 05:59

Chase is 4.1% and very east to set up and use - although I knows it’s not the best rate.

Easypeasycheesy · 05/01/2024 06:10

Chase savings account has a good rate. V easy to set up, good app and instant access to money

Thank you. These are all much better than I get now, so give me a starting point.

Nationwide is paying 8% on it’s savings account if you have a current account with them.

MrsPoliportsGoose · 05/01/2024 15:49

Metro Bank do an instant access savings account, currently 5%

seekingasimplelife · 05/01/2024 16:08

If you have an initial deposit of £500 or more, Metro Bank Instant Access Limited Edition Saver is paying 5.22% for a year; otherwise Cahoot Simple Saver Issue 2 at 5.12% with a minimum deposit of just £1.

Overloadimplode · 05/01/2024 16:31

Really? I do bank with them. I must go and chat to them. I already have 4 current accounts, esavings and an ISA with them. Maybe I can shut one down.

Last comment about Nationwide.

@Overloadimplode you don’t need to go and speak to them - I opened mine on the app in minutes

seekingasimplelife · 05/01/2024 16:59

The Nationwide 8% Regular Saver does have restrictions - the rate drops to 2.15% after 3 withdrawals, so best factor that in if you need easy access.
