Universal credit AET and CET

Can anyone help explain universal credit AET and CET. My daughter has just turned 1 and I also have a 4 year old. I'm waiting to start a new job, it's 'bank' work so I can choose shifts/hours. My husband works full time. Universal credit have called me in next week for a meeting and I'm not sure if I need to attend or not.

How much does your husband earn? As your child is only one you don't technically need to be looking for work but I think you can have work search appointments. However if your husband earns over £1085 he earns enough for you to be in light touch anyway. It is going up to about £1300 but I don't know when. Just say you have some work coming and that your husband earns enough for you to be left alone. I work but very part time as no childcare for my one year old. My husband earns above the threshold and I am left alone. I did get an appointment but it was cancelled immediately when they saw I work.

Thank you for replying. My husband earns around £1600 take home pay a month. I've told them I'm waiting on a start date and their reply was they still need to see me 😦. the same happened when I had my son. I get there and they say I'm doing everything needed, I'm there less than 5 minutes and it just seems a waste of time.
I'll be very part time 1 or 2 shifts a month just to keep my foot in and have some adult conversation.

Once you start those shifts that will stop as your husband earns way over the threshold. Once you start work they will leave you alone. If they pester you to work more say your husband earnings ensure you are in the light touch group.
