Whats the cheapest way to make an international money transfer?? please....

Hello people with money know-how..
I want make a deposit on a villa holiday. The owner has sent me her Italian Bank details including a BIC Swift number. Can I do an online transfer somehow into this? or from paypal? or...do i have to hike into town to the bank and let them charge me a fee after scratching their heads for half an hour?? Anyone??

go into your bank. there will be a charge though. i think you can pay paypal if they accept it but you may have to pay the charges on that also?

my dp paid our transfer (for holiday) online with his nline banking..unsure of cost tho
