Cheque - Monzo

My uncle has generously sent me a cheque for £500 ( much needed!) as a Christmas gift. I have a Monzo account, so I know about having to post it to them & the correct procedure. However, my Monzo account is just in my name (no title) and he’s made it out to: Mrs first name and last.

(I’m divorced, but not changed my name yet so technically that’s correct)
I called Monzo and was told they won’t accept it because of the Mrs, but I also tried the chat in the app and the person on that said it would be 🤔
Anyone know? Thank you!

Your title won’t matter, the only things that are needed are he same surname and first name/ initial.

I agree with this, not least because Monzo somehow managed to give me the title of Mr on my account with them, when I am a Ms. It ran like that for three years before I noticed, with no issue whatsoever including cheques.

We are with Starling and you can bank cheques up to £1,000 by taking a photo of it. I don't know if Monzo do the same, just check the FAQs

If anyone’s paid a cheque via post to Monzo (I did it tracked, next day on Tuesday this week) how long did it take? 🙏
