Conveyancing firms- Cyber attack

Looking for advice from anyone who knows about this or in the field-
As you may have seen in the news, 80-200 firms who use a particular software have been cyber attacked. As a result mortgages from these firms can’t currently complete.
We are remortgaging- everything set for our new mortgage to complete at the beginning of December. It now looks like it won’t happen. Which means we will fall onto the variable rate with our current lender. Costing us £100’s and £100’s more. We simply can’t afford this - especially around Christmas! We’ve had everything in place early with an offer etc all on track, all paperwork done. Just had to wait until the competing date when our current mortgage finishes.
Anyone got any advice of what we can do / should do?

Have you spoken to the solicitors that are dealing with your remortgage about their contingency plans?

You can’t get through to anyone! Literally no one to give any advice
