Vinted issue

Just wondering if anyone can advise on an issue with Vinted. I bought a bottle of aftershave which is quite obviously fake. I've marked that I have an issue with it and explained why I feel it's fake. The seller hasn't responded so just wondering what happens next? Do I return to the seller at my expense? Very many thanks

Vinted should contact you and ask for photos / reasons why you think it’s fake. They will then contact the seller and ask them for proof etc that it’s not. Vinted then make a decision- if they agree it’s fake you’ll get a refund and don’t have to return the item.

Vinted always sides with the buyer, just wait for a response from either the seller or vinted. However from experience you usually do have to send it back at your own cost which is frustrating when you have already paid for postage and the item is not as described

@Cloudyrain11 - not in my experience if the item is a fake, Vinted tell you to dispose of the item.

Thank you both, I'll just have to wait for them to get back to me.

If the seller doesn't respond Vinted will likely tell you to send evidence of you destroying the counterfeit item and they'll refund you.

The seller may also request a return, if they do make sure you film yourself packaging it up and package it according to vinteds T&Cs as a seller who sells fakes is likely to try and wriggle out of it by claiming the returned package is empty or the item is broken so try and cover all bases.

Once the seller receives the return they have to click if everything is ok to release the refund.

Thank you, that's really helpful.
