Pip back payment and lwrca

I have a pip appeal tomorrow, if I win and get a back payment how will this affect my uc (lwrca)?

It won't

If the backpay will take your savings to over 6,000... bob a note in your journal advising of this. It takes 6-8 weeks for the backpay to come through. Once it arrives in your account - put another message in your journal explaining what it is. Why? Because it is backpay from a benefit it is not counted as part of your savings for the first 12 months it is in your account.

Make sure you let the tribunal know you have LCWRA. Ideally when it was awarded from and how you got it. There is a lot of crossover between the Work Capability Assessment and PIP.

Have you heard what the decision is yet, @BettyBakesCakes ?

I really hope you won!

Yes we heard the next day. We did win, thank you.

That's great, I'm really pleased for you.

I'd love to know how much money is wasted on tribunals that wouldn't be necessary if the PIP system actually worked properly.
