DVLA haven't charged me but my car 'is taxed'!?

Anyone else has this? I had a direct debit in place for car tax to be paid annually. It's now the 6th and they've not taken my payment. Only ever had one bank account and never used a card - anyone else had this?

When I check online it says vehicle is taxed to Nov 24

Is it now tax exempt under new rules ?

The payment may come out later in month I guess. The car is taxed because the DD is set up - if you cancelled the DD the tax would be cancelled.

I think it's fairly common for it to come out later than the first of the month. Mine, due on 01 October as a single annual sum, was taken on the fourth.

I might even have had some choice when I set the DD - cannot remember now and it's only £20.

Thanks all - I guess it will. Part of me is hoping somehow the dvla have taxed it without knowing I haven't paid but I doubt it - £180 to keep by reluctantly now for the rest of this month (eye roll)
