I Recently found out on a credit check that I have a CCJ from during the covid pandemic that I knew nothing about. I have spoken to step change and the citizens advice and have paid to find the case number etc. I now need to find the creditor as I have no idea who it would be. I have been told to call or email. I have emailed them multiple times and called every day. The number for them is never answered. I know how much it is for so I have saved up since I found out and now have the amount ready so that if it is for me and isn’t an error I can pay it but can’t speak to anyone!
can anyone help me find out the creditor? It’s Northampton county court business centre and I’ve tried every number for them!

Northampton County Court was, and I think still is, a bulk issue centre used by large businesses with hundreds or thousands of cases on the go.

It's also used by Councils for unpaid parking tickets. Could it be that?

Do you know how much the judgment is for?

Have you checked your credit file? If it was a lending contract (as opposed to parking fine) there will be a corresponding default on your credit file for the same amount, in the name of the original lender or debt collection agency.

What do you mean 'paid' to find the case number op? I hope you haven't paid any third party to assist you or you've been scammed, it's not necessary.

Both the case number and the contact details for Northampton County Court will be on your credit file. When you call, NCC will run you through some ID q's and can then give you all the details, including name of the creditor.

I'm not sure who you've been calling but NCC have a menu system when you call and a whole (small I think) team of people answering - so you can't really fail to get through. It's not one lonely telephone handset sitting forgotten on a desk!
