Student loan overpayment

Anyone with a student loan check out Martin Lewis' video from today about student loan overpayment.

Seems that many are due a repayment - commonly those who've been on maternity leave although all sorts of circumstances.

I called on the off chance and am not getting a big repayment.

Just to be clear it does get added back onto the total you owe and obviously interest charged on it. Fine if you don’t expect to pay it off ever, or need the money back, but if you do expect to pay it off in full then be aware that you’re extending the time taken to pay it off and the total that will be paid.

Yes that's true, but the vast majority will never pay their loan back.
